Flopsy: “Reporting to you from SiennaTigerlily’s bedroom, today is November 18, 2018, and it is a Sunday, and my name is Flopsy the White Bunny. These are my co-hosts, Jake the Ape, Peanuts the Elephant, and Ducky Buttons the Yellow Duck. And we’re here to bring you the latest news from South Texas. (And sorry it’s coming so late).
On the news today:
The Australian Tree Fern, the Creeping Zinnia, the Daylily, and the Devil’s Backbone have been made into a new salad with a dressing made from the Empress (Princess) Tree and the Elderberry. The Flowering Maple and the Gentian with some noodles combine to make the new spaghetti, which has been named the Vegetable Spaghetti. For those veggie lovers who’ve been wanting a spaghetti with veggies, here it is! Enjoy! Hollyhock and sugar, with a bit of Incense Cedar make the new candy, “Hollyincede”. The Kudzu and wheat come together to make a new bread, which has yet to be named, but looks very good. The Mountain Mint dip gives an excellent taste to the Morning Glory cookies, when used together. The Paper Mulberry is a cocktail now and is being sold at restaurants by the bottle. So far it is very popular. And so that’s all for the news in cooking folks! More to tomorrow. Have a great day.”
Peanuts: “In celebrity news, today Karl the Polar Bear rear-ended his car into Nick the Rhinocerous’s car. Oh well. It’s not that bad. Nick was needing a new car anyway. His little convertable just wasn’t big enough for him. Patty and Josh the Ravens–who both starred in “Shine Shine Precious Jewels” from 2014, which is also how they met–have now started a jewelry store, “Sparkle and Shine”. Jane the Blue and Gold Macaw and Jeffrey the Blue and Yellow Macaw married today with a few family and friends as witnesses. Mandy the Blue Shark finished her movie “Carried Away” and she and the rest of the cast will make a special appearance for the first screening of it at the Land and Sea Movie Theatre. It looks to be an interesting movie from the trailer. And that’s all in celebrity news today! Have a great day, folks.”
Ducky Buttons: “Today in sports we’ll be covering gymnastics, karate, and rowing. Pertaining to gymnastics there was Kimmy the Blue Wildebeest, Annie the Blue-Tongued Lizard, and Callie the Skink who were competing against each other. It ended up being tight, but Kimmy won with Annie coming in second and Callie a very close third. The second competition of gymnastics had June the Wild Boar, Daisy the Bobcat, and Lily the Columbian Rainbow Boa competing against each other. Unfortunately, there was no winner, because June and Daisy tied, and Lily got herself wrapped around the bar and it took two hours to get her untangled. So on to karate. Marie the Brown and Yellow Marshbird, Bessie the Lemur, and Kestra the Hyena took each other down in today’s first competition. Marie got herself out in the first round with a sprained ankle, and so it was down to Bessie and Kestra. And apparently seeing that Bessie had the upperhand, Kestra pulled a foul, and so there was no winner. There will be a re-match in one week when Marie is all healed. In the second competition of karate, it was Max the Pelican, Jack the African Buffalo, and his cousin, Mitch the American Buffalo. These three really know how to go at it. In the end, it was Max who took first place, with Jack second, and Mitch third. All three were covered in bruises. Aspirin, boys. Now we come to rowing. The long-time rivals, the Burmese Black Mountain Tortoise and the Burmese Brown Mountain Tortoise go up against each other. They are equally matched, and for awhile it’s neck and neck, but the Burmese Black end up having the race in the end by a foot. The second race is against the Butterflies and the Canadian Geese. The Butterflies win by 3 feet. Absolutely incredible. Nobody expected that. That’s all in sports, folks! See you next time!”
Jake: “In weather today, it is 5:51PM, with a high of 76 degrees and a low of 54 degrees. Right now the temperature is a cloudy 76 with a feel of 76. It will be cloudy for the rest of the day, and the feel for the rest of the day will range from 59 to 76. For the rest of the day there will be a chance of rain ranging from 5% to 25%, with a N wind ranging from 9 mph to 12 mph from 6PM to 10PM, and then at 11PM it changes to a NNW wind at 9 mph and stays that way for the rest of the day. That’s all for the weather. Stay warm!”
Flopsy, Peanuts, Ducky Buttons, and Jake: “Have a great day, everyone, and see you tomorrow!”
The End for today.
